This is a general text book that reiterates many of the basic and ongoing issues relative to understanding the past and current thinking in the Drug and Alcohol field. It seems an excellent text; I am particularly interested in the generic aspect of addiction and substances for our course (MSc Exercise for Health) but do not think that this is an essential text . We will certainly drawon it.
