INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION AND THE SILK ROAD: CHINA, RUSSIA AND CENTRAL ASIA AND BRI

This book expands on the concepts presented at the 2023 and 2025 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Forums, highlighting the initiative's complexity, scope, economic, technical, and social achievements. Announced and launched in 2013, it has been expanding dynamically with the initiative involving some 150 countries in Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. These countries represent nearly 75 percent of the world's population and over half of global GDP; the cumulative value of Chinese investments through BRI has reached an impressive amount of nearly $1.4 trillion. Taking this into consideration, this book seeks to illuminate BRI's potential to stabilize the global economy and strengthen supply chains, building on existing analyses with inclusivity, sustainability and geopolitics at the forefront of the discussion.
