Jianhua Qin Author

Dr. Zhenhua Rui is currently a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the College of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Petroleum (Beijing). He serves as the Deputy Dean of the School of Carbon Neutrality Future Technology and the Dean of the International Research Institute for Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). Previously, he was a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a co-founder of the MIT A+B Energy Platform. His long-term research interests focus on CO₂ enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and storage, unconventional oil and gas development theory and technology, numerical simulation, and the application of data mining and artificial intelligence in the energy sector. He has published over 100 papers in renowned international energy journals.

Dr. Yang Liu received his PhD from the China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and completed his postdoctoral research at the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently with the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). His research focuses on rock mechanics within coal and oil exploitation, specifically in grouting, fluid injection, and CO2 sequestration. Dr. Yang has published over 80 high-impact papers and is recognized as an Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher. His honors include the 34th Sun Yueqi Youth Science and Technology Award, the First Prize for Technical Invention from the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (ranked 1st), and the "Youth Award" for Green Mining.

Jing Zhang is the Director of the Unconventional Resources Institute at the Exploration and Development Research Institute of Xinjiang Oilfield Company, PetroChina. With a career dedicated to the front lines of oil and gas exploration in the Junggar Basin, his work focuses on the evaluation and development technologies of unconventional reservoirs, such as shale oil and conglomerate reservoirs. Director Zhang has made pivotal contributions to major oil and gas discoveries in the Mahu Sag. He has received numerous Science and Technology Progress Awards from both CNPC and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Jianhua Qin serves as the Chief Geologist at the Exploration and Development Research Institute of Xinjiang Oilfield Company, PetroChina. As a veteran expert in oil and gas exploration in Northwest China, he specializes in geological evaluation, exploration deployment, and strategic research, with profound expertise in the hydrocarbon accumulation patterns of the Junggar Basin. For his outstanding achievements in projects such as the discovery of the Mahu Giant Conglomerate Oilfield, he was awarded the First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (one of China's highest honors) and the title of "Distinguished Scientific and Technological Worker" by PetroChina.
