Noel Kelty Author

Noel Kelty, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Education at Oakland University in the Department of Human Development and Child Studies. She is the immediate Past President of the National Association for State Leaders in Early Education (NASLEE) and the President-Elect for Michigan’s Division for Early Childhood. A former classroom teacher, local and state educational administrator, and now teacher educator, Kelty specializes in family-school partnerships, culturally responsive pedagogy, and early literacy. Kelty’s research has been published in journals such as SAGE and Early Education and Development, and she has presented nationally on equitable family engagement practices. Kelty is passionate about transforming how educators build authentic, inclusive relationships with all families to impact learning outcomes.

Anne Tapp Jaksa is Professor of Teacher Education, College of Education at Saginaw Valley State University (Michigan). She is the Chair of the American Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE) Board of Directors and serves on the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Board of Directors. Tapp Jaksa received the Teacher of the Year award when teaching PK-12 and SVSU’s Landee Award for Teaching Excellence at the university level. Her research interests include the curricular needs of students and families. Tapp Jaksa is the author of numerous publications and a frequent presenter for international and national educational conferences such as AACTE, ISTE, NAEYC, and AERA. Tapp Jaksa is dedicated to transforming how educators design curricula and build authentic, inclusive partnerships with families to support meaningful learning and student success.
